Yashuah Has Already Calmed Our Storms; Just Hold On
We go about, each day, preparing our life for what we see happening to us (we don’t stop and consider that our direction could be rerouted by the Most High God for a different plan at any time(Read the story in Jonah, 1:1-17). We try and take the necessary steps of precautions, by laying it out exactly right (so we think); getting our little ducks in a row (but the head of the row is not Yashuah), mostly thinking of our abilities to procure the future of our dreams. We are not concerned with the storms that may try and overtake us as we set sail on our journey on the sea of life, causing winds, hail, rains, tornados, hurricanes (trials, troubles, tribulations) because we have “OUR” plan, the only one we think matter. So we do not really become concerned with the fact that preparation in the present makes the foundation for our future and lessons that were learned (should have been) in the past prepared us for our present. If we stay in the boat with Yashuah, no matter what, with His word He will calm the storms that are raging in our life. (Mark 4: 39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm).
But life has a way of “rocking our boats” so to speak. We may have all the plans we want, and they are good ones. Ones that assure our future, with family, jobs etc., are secured. But our plans are not necessary YAH’s plan. Now, here comes the kicker, if the LORD desires us for a purpose, no matter how much we run, we will be used by Him: He has a calling on you for a specific purpose and no one but you can fulfill it. So, you might as well stop running and get on the righteous boat, say here am I LORD and be still and wait to hear from YAH. Because if Yashuah has another direction for you to go, (remember Jonah) even if it is one that is total opposite of what you have in mind, we need to ask our self a serious question. Do I get in (the boat) line with His choices (knowing that everything He does for me is for my good) or stay on the shore and watch my, ultimate, life that I can experience, move in the direction everyone else is going, away from YHWH into eternal damnation. or do you. Here is the thing, we spend most of our life going around in circles (me included) and we never get to enjoy what our purpose is. And we know that if it is one purposed by YHWH it is perfect for our life. So, when He send His boat for us to board, let us do so with love and thanksgiving because if we sail on This boat the seas will be calmed when we need them to be. If not, we will sail through the squall without getting capsized or if we do, He will throw us out a lifeline to pull us back to His glorious shore.
Most true children of YHWH will follower after, especially after getting to know Him and what He wants to do in and through our life. And when we follower after His design for our life, storms (troubles, trials and tribulations) may come and try and destroy our faith, belief even our life. But we can be assured that even though our Lord may seem to be out of our reach, He is not; when we are threatened with a seen or an unforeseen danger He is right here. He will speak to the messes, (circumstances and situations) which have plagued us with fear and He rebuke the winds of troubles, (sickness, disease, poverty, loneliness, anxiousness, anger, etc.) and make the waves that overwhelm us with fear and anger be still. He causes all our troubles to become calm and stop hitting us, long enough, for us to catch our breath; not saying we will not get another round. But saying, we must hold fast, in times as these and all other times, to YAH’s Word, Yashuah’s fulfillments and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. For in His love for us, He does not allow anything to come upon us, to hit us so hard or come so often, to the point where we give up or die (physically and spiritually).
So, we should be of good courage at any junction of our life and stay in the boat (of YAH’s love) until we get to the other side with other believers. If we have faith and truly believe, like we say we do, we will not be afraid, concerned but not afraid. Because Yashuah will speak into and over our lives and the winds that try and blow us apart, down and away, will be still. And the waves that billows and threaten to swallow us up, will obey Him and settle down and be quiet.
Mark 4:35-41
35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” 39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” God’s got it no worry no fear.
