WHEN TEMPTATIONS COME

WHEN TEMPTATIONS COME, THINK ON YHWH’S COMMANDMENTS

We are all tempted to yield, at one time or another, to temptations/sin, (to lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, covet, worship idols (houses, cars, statues, flags, even other people etc.), and even kill. If we think about it all of the commandments given by, YHWH, that He told us not to do, those are the ones we do consistently; which is contrary to Gods flow of things; His Word, (Yashuah), will and way.

Yashuah did not say that we were not going to be tempted, He was, and passed with flying colors just to show that man can overcome whatever temptations, trial, trouble, or tribulation which he must confront. As a matter of fact, He said that it is inevitable that we would be tempted. And with all that is plaguing the world today, temptations are sure to come at all of us and in many forms and all sorts of ways. (Luke 17:1- Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!) But we must fight and we must hang in there, with our Lord and Saviour, and while reading His Word, praising, praying, worshipping and singing songs of praise, we will realize that, through His strength, He will not allow us to be tempted more that we can stand: when you stand with Yashuah, you stand in His great and awesome power. You may suffer, something painful or difficult, for a while, but if you continue to lean on and have faith in Him, with His strength you will be able to go through patiently. (1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. As Yashuah is faithful to us, He wants us to faithful to Him.

So, YHWH has laid out the way our lives should go, according to His Word, Yashuah, and when we follow this plan it is safe to say that as we are striving to keep the Ten Commandments (really there are more than ten), even when we fail (because life gets in the way), while trying, Yashuah will strengthen us. His strength will be with us as we go through and eventually, when we overcome our temptation; then we will go through another.  And if we pay attention to the will of YHWH, through Yashuah, we will understand how it works.  As we are tempted, we learn not to yield so that when another one arises, we will be better equipped to face it, and not give in to it. Gods got it no worry no fear.

Exodus 20:1-17 (NIV)

The Ten Commandments

1 And God spoke all these words:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grand. I love my family, friends and everyone I meet. But most of all I love me some YHWH Who is the lifter of my head and the light of my life's pathway. Without Him I can do nothing but with Him nothing is impossible for me to do.
