CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER: THE MASKS WE WEAR OR DON’T WEAR
Most of us wear masks every day, although it is one invisible to the naked eye. But, yet and still, it is there, hiding our imperfections and misrepresentation of the Truth. So why object to wearing one that will help heal our land; it protects each other. Probably because it can be seen, and there is a legitimate reason for wearing it.
We thrive on drama so no matter what clear and concise reasons are given for wearing masks (COVID-19), there will always be someone to disagree, buck the system, fight against. We are all-in when it comes to something that does not require a discipline involving others. And we will rally around that which will bring you attention (refusing to wear a mask). These masks, that are invisibly worn today, are usually self-imposed and created out of the need to be seen or heard, sadness, disillusion, fear, uncertainty, and let us not forget hatred, deceit, greed, selfishness. It characterizes the person as one who is trying to prove their invincibility, or just plain stupid or clearly announce their objection to Yashuah and the truth of His love, word, will and way. It confirms the disbelief, trouble (mind, body, and soul), of one who has not accepted Christ (it is so much better when you have Christ in your life because you can take off the mask and show your true beautiful self; battle scars and all), as their Lord and Saviour. (there are some who has accepted Him, yet still wears a mask of confusion about where they are or are not in His service). And because you hide your condition so well no one even expect what is behind it. The mask we wear, on a daily basis, whether seen or unseen are usually there to hide or protect: hide from something or someone we do not care to share or from fear of being found out; or to protect self and or others from being exposed to something,( carried by self or someone else), that will cause harm or death to each other. Either mask worn for a reason.
But you, even the children of YHWH, get all in our feelings and started quoting our rights. We have a tendency of leaving out our responsibilities, the repercussions (an unintended consequence occurring some time after an event or action, especially an unwelcome one), and even rewards as to why we do not want to wear one. Let me express what I honestly believe and know it to be true, what your, mine and everybody down the street, rights are. We have the right to love the LORD first, love yourself and then love others, giving them an ounce of what is needed to survive this day and time. When we LOVE, everything good will naturally fall into place; we will not have to try and do the right thing it will become automatic. But first we must get all this in line. Our true love for YHWH is first to be established because He is the source of love and from Him we get a boast for our love to become a reality to self and others; we love self in a wholesome manner, which enables us to share that which we receive from Yashuah. Then we go about each day, after removing the mask of pretending to love one another, (worn for so long), off. It kept us bound up, in ways that were not intended for us and unnatural to our LORD.
In the Old and New Testaments, it gave extenuating circumstances where masks (considered as vail were worn usually during a volatile situation, to prevent something terrible from happen or continue to happen. It may not have been for the person wearing the mask, but it was for the protection of those around him/her.
Genesis 24:65 -65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
Exodus 34 29-33 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. 30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31 And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. 32 And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai. 33 And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
Somethings we do not or do not want to understand for selfish reason but until we have come together enough, this pandemic will not go away, it will continue to spread (maybe not as rapid but it will continue) and in its wake will be unnecessary deaths; mainly due to someone’s feelings (infringement of their rights). We have to get about the business of caring for one another. Ask yourself this question “what about the rights of others, do they deserve to live?” Let us not be selfish nor self-centered, especially people calling themselves children of the Most High. We must think and act above and beyond the norm for this world. Because in any case, concern or circumstance, Christ would choose the righteous thing to do. And no matter how much it “touch” our little feelings, we are to chose the way of Yashuah our Saviour. He did not think of how He felt when He went to the cross and shed His blood for us. He went willingly, knowing that we did not deserve it, but because of the love of our Father, and our sinful nature He went. He knew that in our disobedience and sinful nature we do not have the capability (with our direct pray), to save our self. So, gird up your mind, wrap love, sincerity, sensibility, compassion, wisdom, knowledge and understanding around the situation and do the right thing. Put on the right kind of mask, on that saves life and take off the kind that ruins life. Gods got it no worry no fear.
