DO NOT MAKE PROMISES TO GOD OR YOUR FELLOW MAN THAT YOU CANNOT OR DO NOT PLAN TO KEEP: BUT WE CAN COME BACK FROM OUR TRANSGRESSIONS: OUR BARGAINING POWER IS YASHUAH THE MESSIAH, WHICH HE HAS ALREADY PAID THE PRICE.
Sometimes do you find yourself trying to bargain with YHWH, for the things He has already given us. “Lord, if you would just give me this, I will pray five times a day. Or Lord if you let me do that, I will go about servicing the poor, sick, elderly and shut-ins; I will go to church every Sunday, etc.” We spend our days thinking about and doing the wrong things because He has already given us, by way of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, all that we would ever require to obtain our needs and some desires. And when we bargain with GOD, we embrace an unnatural truth, that YHWH is not who He say He is and cannot do what He say He will do, but turn our back on His power that was, is and always will be. We only must walk according to His WORD (Yashuah) and do His will. When we study the Word, we acquire wisdom and knowledge and if we are serious about our relationship with YHWH, through Yashuah, we will become enriched with the seeds of understanding, necessary to find out our purpose, that selected (by GOD), for us and the duties needed to perform them (including our gifts and blessings), under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We do not need to try and make a deal with YHWH, but It is up to us to seek after the LORD and to go get all that Yashuah has promised through His death; in love and in truth: to commit ourselves to Him and receive what He has in His ample hands: our entire being. (Matthew 7:7-12 – 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets).
Our pledges will not be without merit but have all the footprints of our Lord Jesus Christ. And one thing for sure, YAH is not going to force us to do anything we do not want to do, but He gives us a choice as to rather we want to follow Him or Satan. (Proverbs 16:9 NIV – In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.) and (Galatian 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another). There is no pressure with GOD, (even though His message of love, life, and laughter, prior to eternity, is the reality He wants for us. Whereas Satan’s plan for this life is lies, cheating, misery and being afraid; all prior to eternity with him. YHWH told us, through His Son, our Saviour, that He would give us life more abundant than we could imagine totally opposite of what the devil wants for us. (John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly). And He will. But we are to walk, talk, act, and think a certain way (the way of love, truth, and righteousness), to receive it. Let us understand this, nothing is free in life. There is a price to pay for everything we do or receive. One price is good, one is evil. If you want the good reward of GOD for studying His Word, walking in His way by doing and serving as His child, you will reap the goodness of His mercy, grace and glory that set you up for eternity in heaven: a price, but utterly worth paying. But if you want the evil, tainted, easily faded, cheap imitation of Satan (the world), you will reap the whirl wind. You may accomplish, all that your little heart desires through what you think as your own efforts and abilities. But remember nothing is free, so if GOD is not your source who is? Understand this, when we neglect to keep the promises made to GOD it only complicates the issue, causing us, like the children of Israel, to go around that same old mountain (problem, concern, or situation), again and again until we get it right. And when we publicly profess to know and love the LORD but privately denounces everything He stands for, in our thoughts and actions, this is like putting the LIGHT Jesus), under a cover where no one relates you with Him: eventually He will shine through. (Matthew 5:14-16 -14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. For there is nothing we try and hide that will not be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light. But still there are those who try. And they are the ones whose efforts are found to be in vain; all have been lost because they relied on their own abilities, (never prayed (unless in trouble), and that they would go through life surrounded by people of the same character and like nature; never really experiencing an alternative way, YASHUAH, JESUS. Their way of living was the way to see them through, trying to strike a bargain with YAH, the devil or whoever. But as fast as (Gods timetable not ours), they got it (even though by the world’s timetable, it is a lifetime), they lost it; paying the price to spend eternity in hell; is that a price worth paying.
Now do not get it twisted. We all need money to pay for and acquire some of our necessities but even with this need, Yashuah said He would supply all our needs. (Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus). There is a different between needs and wants or must haves; and Yashuah knows all of them before we do. He also knows just how much to give us (those that He has called), so that we will not be destroyed by the very things we desire. He withholds that which will hurt and hinder us, from His will, back until we have matured enough to be good stewards over it. Once we have grown, according to His will, He will then release that portion of the blessing which we can handle. (1 Corinthian 10:13 There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it).
Now, the time where you feel anxious about nothing happening right or happening at all, is the time of patience and resting in His arms; continue to do the righteous thing when the wrong thing is happening, (this may be a test, or sharpening, or sloughing off unwanted or unneeded baggage; getting the spiritual, and natural man, prepared for what we are going to receive from GOD). (Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful and Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up).
So, we must stop promising YAH and our fellow man, that we are going to do something for Him or them if they do, what we want them to do, for us and not do it, that is a sin. Do not be in such a hurry to obtain something, through ill-gotten gains, when you see something someone else with what you want but do not have the immediate funds for it. Pray, give it to YHWH and leave. YAH knows when and how to bless you with it, if it is what you can handle, and do not start promising YAH that you will do all these extraordinary things, knowing that you will not. Please do not get caught up in a lie, for your life, just because someone else is doing something contrary to the Word and have not gotten caught or convicted. Believe it or not everything that goes around, comes around. And every seed sown will be sown back to the sower. (Galatians 6:7-8 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life).
So, saying all that to say this, we will either do what we say or not, letting our answer be yes or no; while sowing good fruit as we wait for YHWH, through Yashuah to work out our problems and supply our needs according to His riches. (Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want). AND PLEASE, LET US REST IN YAH’S WORD WHILE WAITING FOR OUR CHANGE TO COME; SPIRITUALLY AND NATURALLY. GODS GOT IT NO WORRY NO FEAR.
