SEEK THE LORD FIRST, HELP YOURSELF THEN HELP OTHERS

YOU CAN HELP HURTING PEOPLE STOP HURTING BY SEEKING THE LORD FIRST, HELPING YOURSELF THEN HELP OTHERS

Your first step should be to seek the LORD for yourself, until “you” find Him (He knows where we are, but most time we forget where He is) giving thanks and rejoicing even in your troubles, trials, and tribulations all along the way. A person who’s hurting themselves cannot give true and free comfort to someone else when they are hurting; in a place of unknowing and doubt, indecisiveness and fear, anger and unsure of their own directives and directions. Because they, in all reality, only see their worries and in most instances will transpose them to the one whom they are trying to comfort. When you have come to the edge of your troubled waters, (not necessarily completely having gone through) God, through Jesus, by way of the Holy Spirit, covers you with His feathers and under His wings of protection you are able to withstand and hold up your brother or sister, with patience, peace, and endurance.  With the strength and guidance of the Holy Spirit, not only will you be willing but able to perform this honored duty in the service of our Father God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God). (Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler).

At one time or another we all come to that proverbial fork in the road that calls for a decision whether to help someone else that is hurting; going along in life and the care of this world closes in on them and they can’t seem to find their way out of a situation or circumstance. Or to cross over to the other side of the road and keep going. Usually, we have been going through something that is causing a real upheaval in our own lives, which is putting up a roadblock in our capacity or willingness to help will cause us to cross over and in our mind thinking that to add to our responsibilities would be too much and we would not be able to deal with it, in its entirety. Thus, this lack of conviction to one another can and most often do, cause great pain in mind, heart, body, and spirit in one who is genuinely concerned for others, regarding making the righteous decision whether to help or not and it is sad to say that instead of doing something (we, alone, cannot do everything but we can do our part, as small or large as it maybe and YHWH, GOD, through Yashuah, Jesus, will water our efforts with His Love, Mercy, and grace) we choose to do nothing. But play the wait and see game (“I am going to wait and see what you or they do”). What do we do? Step out for ourselves and find out what YAH wants us to do, in Yashuah name and then do it, without hesitation, but with courage and commitment. (Luke 10:30-37 30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ 36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”)

You would think that to just do the right thing and help is enough, and it is. But we think it necessary to add so many conditions and so much fluff to simplicity that by the time we get through including all the what ifs and what for, it has become blown all out of proportion and has morphed into a totally new entity. This is the reason God told us to come to Him in everything we do, not just big but also small issues and concerns. And He will make all the crooked places straight (work it out); show us how to go about helping each other, where help is truly needed. We can try, try, and try with all our heart and might but unless we are opened to that most important conversation with God, we try in vain. Because helping anyone, a family member, friend, or even a foe requires at least a conversation with the Father Who will, always, determine the best direction to go and how we are to get there, with the least amount of resistance. (Isaiah 45:2-4  I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel). GODS GOT IT NO WORRY NO FEAR.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grand. I love my family, friends and everyone I meet. But most of all I love me some YHWH Who is the lifter of my head and the light of my life's pathway. Without Him I can do nothing but with Him nothing is impossible for me to do.
