TO HAVE FAITH VERSUS FEAR

ARE YOU SERVING IN FAITH, GETTING ALL THAT GOD INTEND FOR YOU THROUGH CORRECTLY AND RIGHTEOUSLY SERVING HIM OR ARE YOU SUBMITTING TO THE WAYS OF THIS WORLD WHILE SINKING IN FEAR?

When we put our faith in God it becomes our freedom from fear; we must continue to seek it. For we did not receive a spirit from Him that makes us a slave to fear, again. But have been given an opened invitation, as His sons and daughters, by God, to address Him with such intimacy as Abba (Papa or Daddy). This is the ultimate faith; the possibility of undreamed-of, unheard-of intimacy with God; but through unfailing faith it is allowed. (Romans 8:15-17- 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together).

Let’s talk a little bit about the fear of God, Reverential Fear. Reverential fear is respect of God’s power and authority, not because He gets angry with us, and can wipe us out with His thought, but because we desire to please Him. (Habakkuk 3:2 Lord, I have heard the report about You and I fear. O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy). We look at it as an ongoing show of respect for our God and His powers that be, and an anchor which keeps us moving steadily toward our righteous goals on earth and eternity. Now, coming to Him in a fear, other than the reverential fear, is not what He wants from us. He wants us to understand that His anger toward us does not last long but the fear it produces and our feelings from it is to encourage our righteous walk with Him. We must have genuine respect (referential fear) for Him at all times but never allow the fear of man to entertain us more than the time it takes to recognize it and hand it off to GOD. Yet, if you find that you do fear man more than God, and you are having a problem with passing it to God, in Jesus’ name, you had better do some serious studying on who should be feared the most and how each fear (of God or man) affects your path to your salvation.

Briefly, I will give you some information on both, but it is up to you to know the difference.  The fear of God is good. It is our strength, our source of seeking and gaining understanding. (Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?) But the fear of man is not good because you are putting man’s power (which God gives) before YHWH, God and Christ our Lord and Saviour. Reverential fear is respect of God’s power and authority, not because He gets angry with us, and can wipe us out with His thought, but because we desire to please Him. We look at it as an ongoing show of respect for our God and His powers that be, and an anchor which keeps us moving steadily toward our righteous goals on earth and eternity.

Fear can also be seen as a time to strengthen our faith. So, when you become anxious about something, stop, think about what is consuming your thoughts. Then let go of it, give it to God so that He will help you to engage your faith in the mix.  Please don’t you try to stand in the balance between you and fear with the Holy Spirit to clothe you with armour. And even though you are in a battle (a low point in your life), surrounded by uncertainties, He will lay you down in green pastures. And as the source of all things good, God, like a green pasture, provides us with everything we need to deter fear; a green pasture that will provide plenty of provision, courage, strength, confidence, and boldness. And then he will give us such an overwhelming sense of safety and security when we are in His will, that we have no choice but to forget our fears and lie down; we may not understand it but sometimes God really does make us lie down for our own sake. While in this position, He gives you the ability to admire and appreciate that which can be (looking through God’s eyes) seen as beautiful; you are rational, aware, and ready to confront and experience the onset of your enemies; He will lead you beside still waters; granting you peace and the ability to remain calm. (Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever).

Faith says I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. It doesn’t mean we won’t feel fear but when it comes if we face it with faith in God, we will be strengthened to overcome it. (Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me). Whereas giving in to fear brings about traps, in our life, for catching us, unsuspectedly which causes us to say, I can’t do anything because I am afraid to upset the expectations of man, who says I can’t. But when we trust God, in Jesus’ name and put our faith in Him we will be guarded from the effects of fear. (Proverbs 29:25 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe).

When we believe God, the “righteousness of Christ assigned to us as believers and treated as if Christ’s righteousness was ours through faith, we are capable of doing all that we need to do to maintain our course, steady in Christ. When we serve, honor, trust, believe, and hope in God, in Jesus’ name, we capture the qualifications of being able to achieve our goals. We see times of fear and uncertainty as opportunities to strengthen our faith; in these times it reveals our actual reliance on God for all things (or lack thereof). The fear that would have crippled you is replaced by faith (FAITH IS THAT WHICH IS HOPED FOR BUT HAS NOT BEEN SEEN OR OBTAINED), IT IS THE UNWAVERABLE TRUST PLACED IN God, in the name of Jesus which helps you stand tall and walk briskly toward your goal and vision. And do not fear the unknown because that which God has for you is held in His hands. Man may be able to manipulate the material things (for a while, until God gets tired of him and set him down), but the spiritual things are of God and He only, can make that which man think is impossible, possible. (Hebrew 11:1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear).

Scripture tells us to only fear God, for His judgment will always be righteous and true. We are not to fear the forces and powers of this world. But we are to be extremely afraid of the possibility of our death and separation from God that results from sin unrepented. Your goals and visions are to be held up, in praises to God, in Jesus’ name and used as elements of your life’s compass when we choose to serve Him. And, if they are ones that, out of a reverential fear, honor God and give Him the glory, He will allow them to materialize. All righteous inspirations are authored by our LORD, executed by our Christ, and guided by the Holy Spirit, to put a spark in the flame on the path of your life; He will never steer you wrong. This is monumental when it comes to who you have faith, trust, and believe in. So, when your dream come to you and you realize it is from God, or that He approves, have faith that it is going to come to pass and go for it in Jesus’ name. Even though you do not understand the logistics of God’s Love (through Jesus) and cannot see how it will happen, maintain a burning faith, stay steady on the path of righteousness and God, through Jesus will make it come true. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works).

Let us never forget that being anchored to the shore of God’s love, in extreme faith and reverential fear, you will not sink, but it will cause your faith to increase and the fear, you have of man, to decrease. And please, please, please, do not allow the nay sayers, talk you out of getting the best of life, (the life Yashuah, Jesus, has ensample Himself to be for you and me), by causing you to fear and returning to doubting the dream, goal, or vision God put in your heart: it’s yours so take care not to give it away or let it die because of what others say. Have faith that God’s Word, Jesus, is true and He will help you through. (Psalm 118:6 – The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?)

So, have, release, and serve in faith versus submitting and sinking in fear. When you do this fear has to flee.

1 Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grand. I love my family, friends and everyone I meet. But most of all I love me some YHWH Who is the lifter of my head and the light of my life's pathway. Without Him I can do nothing but with Him nothing is impossible for me to do.
