THE ARK OF GOD’S MEANS OF SAVING HUMANITY: JESUS

THE ARK OF GOD’S MEANS OF SAVING HUMANITY: JESUS IS THE ULTIMATE ARK

Ark: It is a vessel or sanctuary that is used to serve as protection against that which will cause harm or extinction.

In the Bible God told Noah to build an ark (it was more than a boat or a ship because of its greater purpose) to save his family and two of every kind of animal (seven of the clean), from the Flood; saving man and beast (His creation) from extinction. (Genesis 6:5-7, 12, 17-19 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. 18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female). In today’s world it is steadily getting to the point of total corruption. But in our case, we have been given the ultimate ark, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We are led, by the Holy Spirit, from God, in Jesus’ name, to arks every day, to keep us safe and secure from dangers and harm: these are also places to go to be restored, regroup, regenerate, and rejuvenate.

In this world we may be floating down the river filled with dangers and snares but like Moses and Noah, God will keep us (in the cradle of His love and under the protection of His wings) in the arks which He has prepared for us, when we put all of our hope, trust, faith, and belief in Him; in Jesus’ name. When you think about God’s goodness and seek Him continually you will know that these arks are not only protection against the physical, but also spiritual things that are unseen, yet will cause us harm. (Psalm 91:3-7 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee).

God put Moses, as a baby, in an ark of reed and floated Him down the Nile (infested with crocodiles and all sorts of danger) to save his people. He gave Noah a large flat-bottom boat, (large enough to include what He would need to restart) to float atop of the flood, which He Himself caused, to save humanity and all His other creation, from extinction. Both arks represent the same thing — God’s love for and means of saving humanity. Noah’s ark saved a righteous family from God’s judgment on humanity and helped the human race to continue. Moses’ ark saved the man who would lead a nation to safety (find sanctuary) after God’s judgment on Egypt. In either case we were saved and are still being saved by the arks God gives us on a day-to-day basis. He sends a friend or stranger to encourage you when you feel like giving up; He keep you from danger or harm by delaying you one or two minutes; He provide money for food out of nowhere; He comforts us through our pray and praise; He heals our bodies, mind, and soul; He hears and is faithful to come (in His time) when we call. These are just a few examples of God’s ever-present arks; the most important one of all (that really matters) is the one we have in Christ. Because of this One (Him) Who is the basis for and is the encapsulating boundary, where all the other arks come from; giving us the right to experience the safety of God’s love.

As we experience the tides of living, the ups and downs of life, when we put our trust in Him, God will supply all of our needs. (Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus). He will send us arks (sanctuaries) for any form of help that we need: loneliness, anger, sickness, feeling of guilt or shame, confusion, and so many more seasons, that we go through, by our own doing or that which man contributes to. All we need to do is remain steady in God’s word, so that we can walk in His way, thus doing His will. Because both physical arks (referenced in the Bible) are about salvation, saving those God loves; there are so many that are not seen as arks but in the spiritual way they are just that; sanctuaries, given every day, to save us from that which will harm or destroy us. They are life preservers for all who choose to climb on board. It is the decision (to seek, find, and recognize your many arks), which will lead not only you but the world to the ultimate ark, the Cross. Jesus died on the cross, which represents our place of saving grace, sanctuary, a place to go to find help, wholeness, and happiness, for the ones today, who are struggling so hard to stay afloat, but are sinking in a sea of sin. Sons and daughters of the One and Only True God, hold on; recognizing Jesus as the Ark of safety for all humanity! He will get you through to the other side, if you continue to hold on to Jesus’ hand (Who is the ultimate Ark; The One who has all power to protect and save you) where life everlasting awaits you. So, wake up and become aware of the saving mercy and grace of our Father.  Because through it all, God always sends an ark to save you from drowning (save His creation from total and complete destruction). You just have to stay in His will, through the study of His word, and walk in His way. So, be alert to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in order to see the arks, sent to save you, and climb aboard. GOD’S GOT IT NO WORRY NO FEAR.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grand. I love my family, friends and everyone I meet. But most of all I love me some YHWH Who is the lifter of my head and the light of my life's pathway. Without Him I can do nothing but with Him nothing is impossible for me to do.
