YES, GOD HAS ALLOWED THE WATERS TO BE TROUBLED: BUT WE ARE TO FEAR NOT BUT HAVE FAITH BECAUSE JESUS IS OUR BRIDGE.
Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
In the Bible there are several accounts where the waters, which can represent many things, like barriers and obstacles (sickness, loss of loved ones, anger, hopelessness, the list could go on and on) of life was “troubled.” But in the aftermath of it all, we learn that God did, does, and will do it to guide us toward the glory of knowing and honoring Him and His Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ; to mature us in His word, and give hope and healing to those who wants/needs it and have faith or want to have faith in Him (which in this case represents nourishment, or refreshment, or cleansing .
Troubled water is also used to reference the ones who are stirring up the evil and morally wrong side of life; those who are unhappy, greedy, mean, selfish and self-centered. These are the ones who cannot see good in anyone, so they go looking for closet experiences (those which you do not wish to share) of others and if there is anything to be found they quickly bring it to the surface to try and discredit or disqualify others. BUT GOD! Isaiah 57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
Most all are familiar with the well-known spiritual “Wade in the Water”. This song came about during slavery. And it represented freedom to those who were fortunate enough to get in the water to escape. This also can be regarded as the freedom found for those of us who love and worship the LORD, our God, in Jesus’ name. Because we are protected by God’s love and presence through Jesus, in our daily lives. The line that says “God’s gonna trouble the water”, means that in this world we, as the sons and daughters of God, will be subjected to many adverse things (which are totally contrary to God’s word, will, and way). John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world). God’s water of life, Yashuah, Jesus, allows and initiate changes in our lives to free us from the bondage of sin. But as a bridge over the troubled water or the water that leads to life, our God has designed it so that when we drink from His well of life, we will not spend our time worrying about when, where, and how often the waters are troubled or whether they will come at all. But will know that Jesus is our bridge between us and the waters of life we will have to cross (or wade in) to accomplish our life’s purpose. And we (because of God) will have our thirst (fears, concerns, hopes, and dreams) continually quenched by Jesus’, Who is the water of life and the bridge over it, when He decides to trouble it. And if we truly believe, His water of Life will repair and restore all the unrighteous ripples and rifts that has, is, and will happened to us. The ripples and rifts could be a new job, new relationship, welcoming new members to the family, mending a tear with a family member, freedom in your finance, health, and happiness, and your praise for your children’s efforts, even the smallest things we do not think of but He knows; giving you the peace and patience to see all the most positive results from Him creating and allowing those things which you thought would drown you but it affords you the life of abundance, He promised. John 4:13-14 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
God wants us to remain learn to remain steady in Him. And when the world is falling apart, all around you, you don’t become alarm, depressed, and disoriented but pray, praise, and persevere and stand. You will be surprised but relieved, when you reach this point in your life, that whether the water rises over your head, remain at wade-level, or is just a trickle, you are cutout to handle it because you are a child of the Most High God; we have come into and maintain the peace (His peace) that passes all understanding which only He can supply. (Philippians 4:6-7 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus).
To reach this place, we will go through many troubled waters as we go from one season to the other, growing in our relationship with YHWH, God, through His Son, our Saviour, Yashuah, Jesus. But understand this. God sent His Son to lay down His life, on the cross, as a bridge over our troubled waters (all that is taking place in the world today that directly and indirectly affect you and me) and to this day He is still our bridge, even though He came down from the cross; all us captives were set free and through His blood, we still are. Now, it is our responsibility to ready ourselves for troubled waters through reading God’s word, study it, and understanding why we face adversities, then we will know His truth; that His love for us is so great and that He is always with us. So, we must learn to trust our Lord and Saviour, Yashuah, Jesus, no matter what we are going through, no matter what happens to us in our lifetime because Jesus will always be here for us; He is our strength, He is, forever, our bridge over our troubled waters. He will never leave nor forsake us. So, no matter how high the water rises or how low they go (how difficult the waters of this world get) you will not drown nor die of lack because Jesus is with you. But we must step out in faith and trust Him so that we have the courage to stand in the face of our troubled water (with Him at the helm) and when the time come to cross over to be with Him. (Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee).
(Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee).
GODS GOT IT NO WORRY NO FEAR.
