BE CAREFUL TO GIVE HONEST THANKS UNTO THE LORD: EVERY DAY IS A DAY OF THANKSGIVING
“THANKSGIVING” is a holiday that is great for those who continually give praises and thanks to Elohim; who all through the year acknowledge YAH for His many guidance, chastising, and blessings; this one day becomes magnified. An attitude of love and gratitude is prevalent. While the presence of honest praise, and gratefulness that God is good, and His mercy last forever hang heavily in the atmosphere.
Now on the other hand there are the ones who only stop to give YHWH, God, thanks for all He has done for them on this designated holiday, Thanksgiving. That is good because who knows how for it will go. First, they engage in giving thanks, then it evolves in giving their hearts to Christ (God works in mysterious ways).
So, for those who follow the Old Testament (shadow of New Testament) holidays and holy days, do so in all honesty and truth, not judging others but see that your convictions are maintained and your faith is not compromised. Because one day, we are all going to realize that all of this are shadows of what is to come; merely things and observances, that were set in place by, God, blocking the true reality of Light, Jesus (New Testament; the ultimate sacrifice) for a time and purpose, and are going to eventually past. And all those, free, slave, gentiles, and jew are going to be separated from the heathen (those that profess to do the will of God, but are going contrary to His Word, Jesus. But during this time the heartfelt thanks, glory, honor, and praise given by one who has had a stirring in his soul by Christ, may outshines the most devout person’s attempt all through the year.
Whichever external holy day or holiday we observe should never take priority over the relationship we have with Christ. GOD’S GOT IT, NO WORRY NO FEAR.
Colossians 2:13-17 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
